Grip Size and Elbow pain

Wondering if this is unique to me or if you have noticed a similar
experience?

I played a Serex forever then broke down and bought a Ripstick with a SS
grip size. Shortly after I noticed elbow pain. I've have tendonitis since 19
(40 years). Next I bought an Attitude with a SS grip and the pain persisted.
I bought a backup Attitude and by mistake ordered the XS grip. Now I don't
experience elbow pain. Maybe it's just my imagination but I got to thinking
that maybe there's more strain on the elbow with a smaller grip. Any
thoughts?

Thanks,
John D.

I always had elbow pain (15 yrs) until I dropped my pinky finger off the
bottom of the racquet and now I have not had pain for over two years.
I hold the racquet with just three fingers and my thumb.
The backhand is what used to hurt my elbow.
The only thing I can think of is it allows my wrist to bend more on the
backhand shot so I'm not putting as much pressure on my elbow.
What ever the reason - it works for me!

Thanks for the reply.
I also hold the racquet with three fingers but I haven't noticed any
discomfort with the backhand. Do you change your grip for forehand and
backhand? I also twist my wrist in toward my body before hitting a backhand.
